Summary
To install a flush-mount ceiling fan, start by turning off power and removing the old fixture and box. Secure the fan brace and metal box, attach the hanger bracket, and assemble the motor with the downrod. Lift the motor into the bracket, connect wiring correctly, and install fan blades. Place the receiver, set the wall switch code, and secure all covers. The fan is now ready for safe use.

Here is how to install a flush mount ceiling fan:

  1. Take a 2-foot level and hold it against the ceiling. Measure the gap between the level and the ceiling. Divide this number by 2 to know how much the ceiling drops for every 12 inches.

  2. Switch off the main power at the electric panel. Remove the old light fixture safely.

  3. Use a hammer and a small block of wood to take out the old electrical box. Pull out the electric cable and leave the old box in the ceiling.

  4. Put the fan brace into the hole in the ceiling. Press its feet against the ceiling and centre the shaft.

  5. You can now turn the shaft to fix it tightly to the ceiling frame. Snap the metal saddle over the shaft.

  6. Put the wire into the cable clamp of the new metal box. Place the box above the saddle screws and tighten the nuts. Loop the grounding wire around the screw and tighten it.

  7. Place the hanger bracket on the higher side of the sloped ceiling. Screw it to the box using the provided screws.

  8. Keep the fan motor upright. Pass the wires through the downrod and attach the downrod to the motor collar.

  9. Insert the downrod pin into the collar and tube. Lock it with the cotter pin and tighten all screws and nuts.

  10. Slide the collar cover and canopy over the downrod. Attach the hanging ball, insert the pin, lift the ball, and tighten the set screw.

  11. Lift the motor assembly and lower it into the bracket. Lock the ball slot over the bracket tab.

  12. Connect the wires: green to ground, white to neutral, and black/blue to live. Fold wires neatly inside the box.

  13. Fix the fan blades to the brackets and attach the brackets to the motor.

  14. Place the radio receiver in the light pod, connect the wires as per the manual, and secure it.

  15. Finally, set the wall switch code to match the receiver. Connect the black wires, fix the switch, and attach the cover plate.

Your flush-mount ceiling fan is now installed and ready to use. I hope now you get an idea.
