The UAN (Universal Account Number) is a 12-digit unique number assigned to every employee that contributes to the Employee Provident Fund. This number is generated and allotted by the EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation). I want you to know that the UAN remains the same throughout the employee’s life no matter how many jobs they change.
How to Find UAN Number
First, you will have to visit the online UAN portal.
After that, tap on “Know your UAN”.
Fill in your registered mobile number as well as captcha for verification. Tap on the ‘Request OTP’ button.
On the next page, you will have to enter your name, Aadhaar/PAN/member ID, DOB, and captcha for verification. After filling in all the required details, you will have to tap on the ‘Show my UAN’ button.
After that, you will receive a PIN on your registered mobile number. Now, you will have to enter the PIN in the required field and tap on “Validate OTP and get UAN” button.
Finally, you will receive a UAN number on your registered mobile number.
