To promote environmentally friendly measures like Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) and Waste Water Recycling (WWR), the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) provides rebates on water bills. But how to get rebate on DJB bill? If these RWH, and WWR, systems are built and operating, properties with a plot area of 500 square metres (or 500 square yards) or more are eligible for this benefit.
What is the Rebate for DJB Water Bill?
To receive the rebate:
If a working RWH or WWR system is installed, a 10% rebate is given.
If both systems are configured and operational, a 15% rebate is available.
If the society adopts RWH, individual members of a housing society might also be eligible for the rebate.
Every six months, the Zonal Engineer or an approved organisation will conduct an inspection and provide a functional certificate attesting to the fact that a sizable amount of the property is covered by RWH and/or that a sizable volume of wastewater is recycled.
To be eligible for the rebate, you must have this certification.
Installing RWH and WWR systems not only conserves water but also reduces DJB bills.
