In order to prevent a rash, our pediatrician had instructed us to remove the diaper for a few hours in a day, and, well, this happened. Although it may seem difficult, cleaning pee off of a mattress is quite doable if you follow the correct procedures. Here's exactly what I did to get rid of the smell and stain.
How to Get Pee Out of a Mattress?
Remove your bed sheet, and wash it with a cup of white vinegar
Blot as much urine as you can with a fresh, dry towel. Scrubbing the mattress may cause it to go deeper.
Combine a few drops of laundry detergent, one part vinegar, and two parts cold water. Spray generously on the stain.
Let the solution sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then blot again.
After this, cover the affected area with baking soda and let it sit for eight to ten hours.
Give the dried baking soda a thorough vacuuming. Repeat if needed.
Trust me, these steps actually helped me in removing urine smell, and stain from my mattress.
