Last year, after my apartment was delivered, I came to know that I needed an occupancy certificate to get an electricity connection. Since I wasn’t aware of how to get occupancy certificate, I called a colleague of mine and asked him about this. Here is what he told me.
How to Get OC Certificate?
He told me to visit the official BBMP website, locate the online service tab, and click on it.
After that, he asked me to submit a building application and then log in.
Now, he asked me to click on Occupancy and then on Building completion.
He told me to select YES for the question “Do you have a DPMS online building permit number?” on the next page.
Following that, he asked me to fill in the DPMS file number and click on “Find.”
Now, he suggested that I look for errors, and if none exist, I need to Save and Continue.
