We filed a police complaint and got the FIR copy. In the FIR we had mentioned the documents that were missing and name and other property and owner related information
Next, we were asked to get an advertisement published in a national newspaper regarding the same. This is done to have a window in case someone finds them and returns the property documents
Now you will have to visit the land registration office of the area and submit an application and fill the prescribed application form to get the copy of land documents. You will have to attach the FIR and copy of newspaper advertisement.
The department will also ask for a fee to issue duplicate land documents.
