Apostille is done for hague countries. there are 4 main steps to getting hague apostille. 1) Notary Attestation 2) SDM Attestation 3) MEA Attestation  4) Apostille  Apostille is done by the government which issued you the document. if you have US issued document then apostille should be done in US US Apostille  US Apostille for POA is needed for buying or selling a house if anyone is acting on your behalf . If you want to register yourself in india for OCI you must get apostille for US birth certificate

The apostille is a French word that means ‘certification,' and in a formal context,  apostilization

is essentially a formality of demonstrating the document's legitimacy and reliability.

When you apostille a document, you get an apostille sticker and/or an apostille stamp from the authorities. It's a computer-generated document with a unique identifying number printed on the back. This creates an online record and makes it easier for the authorities to check the accuracy.

Verify all the documents before buy and sell of property with the experts of Nobroker legal services. What documents need to be apostilled:

Document apostille is required when travelling to foreign nations for a variety of reasons, such as getting job visas or work visas, applying for temporary or permanent residency, pursuing education on a student visa, or conducting business, such as importing or exporting goods. This is a requirement for countries who have signed the Hague Convention.

How to get documents apostilled in India
  • Notary Attestation

Obtaining a Notary's certification is the first stage in the authentication of educational and personal papers. It is handled by a lawyer or the collector's office at the regional level.

  • Attestation from the Home Department:

The Home Department is a state-level body that certifies personal documents. It is in charge of legalising documents that have been issued by the same state government. In some states, the Home Department is referred to as Mantralaya, and the attestation is referred to as Mantralaya Attestation.

  • Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Attestation:

In some cases, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) attestation can be used instead of State attestation. When a home department or HRD attestation is not an option, this is done.

  • Chamber of Commerce Attestation:

The Chamber of Commerce (CoC) is a business organisation that verifies commercial documents before they are legalised by the MEA. There is no role of the state government in commercial documents.

  • MEA Attestation:

The MEA is the central government's branch in charge of international relations, and it will supply the sticker and MEA stamp as needed. When both the home country and the destination country are members of the Hague Convention, this is the final stage in the legalisation process.

I now conclude my answer on apostilization.
