Measuring tape
Notepad and pen
Cordless drill and driver bits
Nail or another sharp item
Hammer
Safety glasses
Utility knife
Pry bar
Pliers
Work gloves
Large towel

- Remove the pillows and cushions
To move a sofa through the door you will need two people at least. If the legs of the sofa are detachable, remove the legs first. If not, leave it for the time being. Start by removing the cushions, pillows and all extraneous items on the sofa.
2. Measure the Sofa
Take a measuring tape and measure the outer dimension and note down the measurements. Take a look at the leading edges and mark them as your reference point. Measure the width of the couch from one arm to the opposite arm. To get the measurement of the depth measured from front to back.
3. Measure the opening
