PMAY or the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna was announced by the Union Government of India to address the issue of shortage of homes for poor and lower-middle-class people of India.
In order to generate a PMAY registration number, the first task is to register under PMAY. The registration is done free of cost but people can also get registered through Common Service Centers at a charge of just Rs. 25.
Following is the process of getting registered and generating a registration number under PMAY:
Visit the official website of PMAY and click on the option ‘Apply Here’
Enter your Aadhaar details and select your monthly household income.
Check off the declaration and click on the ‘Next’ option.
Choose a verification method like Fingerprint, OTP, or, Iris (Eye Scan) and then click on ‘Proceed’
Again check off the declaration box and then click on ‘Generate OTP’. After getting the OTP on your Aadhaar registered mobile number, click on the option of ‘Validate’.
This will open the PMAY urban application form where you need to fill in all your details and then submit the form. Post this the registration number or the assessment ID will be generated which can be further used to track your PMAY application status.
