Hello there. I can help you with how to fix western toilet. The process is a bit long, but the steps are necessary for properly installing the toilet in the bathroom. You will have to do some preparation first and remove the old toilet, in case you are replacing it. I am going to list the complete method you can follow to install the toilet.

How to Fix Western Commode?

Here is the method you can follow to install your western commode:

  1. Begin by turning off the water supply to the toilet.

  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Disconnect the water supply line and the toilet bolts from the floor flange. Remove the old toilet and dispose it off properly.

  3. Make sure the waste outlet pipe connection on the floor is secure and level. Idf replacing it is needed, ask a professional plumber.

  4. Keep a new wax ring on the floor flange and position the hole in the centre.

  5. Lower the new toilet bowl onto the flange and ensure the wax ring compresses to form a seal.

  6. Insert the toilet bolts through the holes in the toilet bowl base and secure them with washers and nuts onto the floor flange

  7. Tighten the nuts firmly, but avoid over-tightening.

  8. Next, reconnect the water supply line to the new toilet’s fill valve using a flexible hose connector. Make sure the connection is secure and use Teflon tape to prevent leaks.

  9. Use shims, which are thin wedges under the toilet base if needed to get a level position. Check for rocking and ensure proper drainage.

  10. Reattach the toilet tank to the bowl, follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and tighten connections well. Install the seat and lid.

  11. Open the water supply gradually and check for leaks around the connection. Tighten loose connections.

  12. Flush the toilet to see if it is functioning properly and make sure no leaks are found around the base or tank connections.

This is all about installing a western commode. I hope it helps.
