To fix the damaged wall painting, you must start by addressing the source of the moisture and remove loose paint. Last month, I found dampness in the internal walls of my room. So, to repair it I hired a painter and he informed me it happens because of the moisture. I also observed the process he performed to fix the wall paint damage due to moisture. How Do You Fix Moisture in Walls?
Here is the process the painter followed to fix the moisture on my walls.
He first examined the dampness's source.
Then he used a paint scraper to remove paint that was peeling.
With a diluted bleach solution he cleaned the affected region.
After drying, he repaired the cracks and sanded down that area.
He now used a water-based primer and applied Damp-Proof paint.
Finally, he asked me to maintain proper ventilation to avoid such moisture in future.
