I recently noticed some paint on my home walls started peeling off, so I planned to fix it. I researched how to fix scraped paint on wall and came across a detailed process. It includes holding a paint scraper or putty knife at an angle and gently scraping off the loose paint. I have added the entire process to fix the scraped area below.

What Should I Do to Fix Damaged Wall Paint?
Here are the steps I came across during the research.
You must hold the paint scraper or putty knife at a slight angle.
Gently slide it along the wall to lift off any peeling paint.
Then, use a wire brush to remove the smaller loose paint bits.
Ensure to take off any paint that is already loose, it will come off easily.
Now, you gently sand around the peeled area so it blends better with the rest of the wall.
Once cleaned, apply putty to cover the damaged spot and let it dry fully.
After that, give it a quick sanding so it is nice and even with the rest of the wall.
You must wipe off all the dust before doing anything else.
Then, brush on some primer over the patched area. It helps the paint stick better.
Finally, just paint over it with the same wall color, and it will blend right in.
After reading these steps, I realised that this work is best left to a professional. So, I am planning to hire a painter and get it fixed this weekend. I hope this will help you.
