Hello. I know how to fix chipped veneer furniture. For this, you will have to use quite a few things. First, you will require a painter’s tape, body filler, a disposable plate, hardener, a metal scraper and sandpaper. I noticed that the side leg of my wooden table had chipped, so I fixed it with this method I am going to share below.

How to Repair Chipped Veneer on Furniture?

  1. Begin by applying painter’s tape around the chipped area that needs a defined edge.

  2. Buy a body filler which contains filler or putty and a hardening agent.

  3. Next, you must place a generous amount of filler on a disposable plate.

  4. After this, add a small amount of hardener and stir. Now this is where you have to move things fast! You’d ask why, this is because the hardening agent is bonding and it hardens quickly.

  5. Once it is blended completely, add a generous amount to the surface with the damage.

  6. You must then quickly thin out the body filler with a metal scraper.

  7. Once thinned and scraped, the piece should be hard to piece and you can now safely remove the tape.

  8. After you remove the tape, glide around the perimeter to remove any dried putty hanging over the edge.

  9. This will create a straight edge. Then, sand down the putty to form a hard and smooth surface.

  10. You can then clean up the area, prime and paint.

This is how to repair chipped veneer furniture. I hope it helps.
