You can use a multimeter or a voltage tester with wire detection capability to locate a broken wire in a wall. A month ago, I noticed there was no power for a continuous 2 days in the lights and all the household appliances. I hired an electrician to fix it, and he informed me it was because of the broken wire buried in the wall. I observed the process he followed on how to find a broken wire in a wall, which I have added below.
How to Find a Broken Wire in the Wall?
Here are the steps the electrician I hired followed to detect a broken wire in the wall of my living space.
He brought a voltage tester pen that combines a digital multimeter and a broken wire detector.
Now, he located the wire that he thinks may be broken.
He then activated the NCV mode and turned on the voltage tester.
Finally, moved the probe over the wire's two ends.
It indicates power flowing via this component when it beeps. When testing one end of the wire, if the tester produces no sound, the wire is damaged, and electricity cannot reach that end. I hope you found this helpful.
