Form 26QB is a form that a buyer of the property has to furnish upon deduction of TDS at source to the government of India. There are a few steps which we need to know in order to understand how to fill form 26QB.
Here is the detailed process to fill form 26QB:
Visit the official website of Tax Information Network (India) at
https://onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com/etaxnew/tdsnontds.jsp

Now scroll down and you will see an option that says ‘TDS on Property (Form 26QB)’. Click on it and proceed.
You will be redirected to a new page where a form will appear.
In this form enter details like Taxpayer information, Address, Property Details, and Payment Information.
This will be a detailed form asking you for seller and buyer details, transaction details, and mode of payment chosen for the transaction.
There are two codes mentioned separately for corporate and non-corporate payers as 0020 and 0021 respectively.
Next, enter details like PAN details of both buyer and seller, address of the two parties and address of the property in question.
Now proceed to the payment option and choose from online or offline methods. If you opt for online mode, you can use net banking, mobile banking or other online payment gateways via e-challan. If you opt for offline mode, you can visit the bank to make payment.
