Actually, you should know that you have some rights as a landlord. You can first try to retrieve the rental agreement by perhaps visiting the registrar’s or notary’s office. As a landlord, you can exercise the following rights:

  • You have the right to evict tenant after termination of rent agreement

  • You can take possession of your property for repairs and maintenance as well

  • You have the right to increase rent after tenancy period is over upon mutual agreement with the tenant.

If the tenant is giving you a hard time you can go to the local police station and seek their help. If that doesn’t work out, you can send the eviction notice approved by the court. You have the right to file a case for your grievances.
