Step 2: Preparing the Wood

He told me to mark the area where I was planning to drill with a pen or pencil. My Uncle told me to be very careful while drilling, as a minor mistake can result in a broken drill bit or uneven hole. 

Step 3: Setting the Depth

He suggested me to set a depth stop on the drill bit. He said that this would prevent me from drilling too deep and damaging the wood or the drill bit. 

Step 4: Start Drilling

After adding the Depth stop, he told me to start the drilling process. For drilling, he told me that I should hold the drill firmly with both hands and start drilling at a low speed. He told me to drill the marked spot and to make sure that the drill was perpendicular to the surface, and I applied pressure as well. 

Step 5: Clean the Area

Uncle told me that, after I’ve finished drilling the hole, I need to clean the wood chips and sawdust from the area. For cleaning, he told me to use a brush or vacuum to remove the debris.
