Navigate to the
Income Tax e-Filing portal's Downloads section.
Locate the "DSC Management Utility" and click on the download link for the emBridge utility (approximately 54.2 MB in size).
After downloading, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Before registering your DSC, ensure the following:
Get a Class 2 or Class 3 DSC from a Certifying Authority. The DSC should be stored on a USB token, which must be connected to your computer.
Ensure the DSC is active and has not expired or been revoked. The emSigner utility must be installed and running on your system.
Go to "My Profile" and select "Register DSC” after logging into the Income Tax e-Filing portal.
Enter the email ID associated with your DSC.
Confirm that the emSigner utility is installed and running.
Choose your DSC provider, select the appropriate certificate, enter the provider password, and click "Sign" to complete the registration.
