Hey,

Most taxpayers have questions about AIS download. AIS stands for Annual Information Statement which is a report that shows extensive information on reported value and modified value for TDS, and SFT. People can also find information about interest, dividends, securities transactions, mutual fund transactions, foreign remittance information, etc on the AIS.

  • You will need to open the income tax e-filing portal at

    www.incometax.gov.in

  • Log in with your credentials.

  • On the homepage, select ‘Services’ from the top menu.

  • Then, choose ‘AIS/Annual Information Statement’ from the drop-down menu.

The downloaded file will be password protected. You can unlock the file by entering the password as a combination of the PAN (in upper case) and the date of birth (DDMMYYYY).eg., if the PAN is AAAAA1234A and the date of birth is 21st January 1991, your password will be AAAAA1234A21011991.
