I recently got my Aadhaar card updated with a new address. I did the process online and did not opt for a printed copy to be sent to my new address. How to download aadhaar card online?Aadhaar card can be downloaded either from the UIDAI website or on mAadhaar application available on Google Play and Apple Store. Here are the steps on how to download aadhaar card:
WebsiteGo to the official website of UIDAI at
https://uidai.gov.in/
Now under Get Aadhaar option, click on ‘Download Aadhaar’ option
Enter your Aadhaar number/ enrollment ID or virtual ID
Fill in Captcha and click on Send OTP
The OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number
After you enter OTP, you will see a downloadable PDF file
You can click on download and a password protected PDF file be downloaded in your phone or system
To open your Aadhaar card PDF you will need to enter first 4 letters of your first name and year of birth.
Mobile App - mAadhaarDownload mAadhaar app on your smartphone from Google Playstore or App store
When you open the app, on the home screen you will see the option to download Aadhaar card
Click on it and enter aadhaar number/ enrolment ID or virtual ID
Enter captcha and click on get OTP
After entering OTP, you will have a downloadable file on your screen.
Download it and enter the password as directed earlier to access e-aadhaar card
This is how to download aadhar card online. Note you won’t be able to get it online without a registered mobile number.
