Here is how to disassemble a bed with drawers underneath
First, remove all the items from the bed so you can work safely. Take off the bedsheet, pillows, blanket and anything else placed on top. Empty the drawers completely so they become light and easy to remove.
Then, pull each drawer out slowly. Slide it forward until it reaches the end of the track. Lift the drawer slightly and remove it from the frame. Keep all drawers aside in one place.
Next, check the drawer runners or glides inside the bed frame. Unscrew them one by one. Place all screws in a small bag so you do not lose anything.
After that, lift the mattress off the frame and place it against a wall. Make sure the space is clear for moving the parts around.
Remove the wooden boards that support the mattress. If the slats are loose, lift them out. If they are screwed in, use a screwdriver to remove each screw carefully.
Next, find the screws or bolts that hold the side rails to the headboard and footboard. Use the correct tool to unscrew them. Hold the rails while removing the screws so the frame does not fall.
Separate the headboard and footboard from the rest of the structure. Move them aside carefully because they can be heavy.
After that, remove the centre support bar if your bed has one. Unscrew it and take it out.
Finally, label all parts, keep all screws in one bag and store everything safely for reassembly.
