Hey Vihan. Understanding how to design a one wall kitchen can be an exciting thing when you are setting up your home. See, a one wall kitchen means you have limited space, so you need to maximise the space you have and plan out the layout with strategy. Ms Neha has shared some useful tips, but I will add more to what she has said.

Steps to Design a One Wall Kitchen

  1. Focus on functionality and incorporate the work triangle. Have the sink, stove and drudge placed in a triangle formation with the sink and fridge on the extreme sides to make it easy to work.

  2. Incorporate lighting that is both functional and stylish. You can task lighting above the stove in the furniture itself, like the cabinet and all. Thai not only helps you save space but also serves functionality.

  3. As you will have just one wall to have the countertop and all. The opposite wall can be used for aesthetic appeal. You can go for anything like wallpaper. panels and all that match the kitchen’s aesthetics.

Hoping that you’ll now be able to design a beautiful kitchen for your home.

Hey there. I am an interior designer and several of my design projects include a one-wall kitchen. To figure how to design a one wall kitchen, you should keep a few things in mind, which include the limitations you have, how you can work on making the kitchen more functional, while keeping the aesthetics of the place, as well. Let me tell you all about this below.

Method to Design a One Wall Kitchen

Here is a list of how you can design a one-wall kitchen:

  1. Utilise the vertical space well. Since you have limited horizontal space, use up the vertical space to your advantage. You can have mounted racks, magnetic knife strips and even floating shelves to give a functional and good look.

  2. Go with compact appliances as you have limited horizontal space. The work triangle, where you align the stove, sink and fridge, makes kitchen work functional. So, follow that and have small-sized appliances, if possible, to accommodate everything. You can have an under-counter fridge, slim dishwasher, etc.

  3. Choose lighter colours, as they not only are pleasing to the eyes, but also give the impression of a brighter and larger room.

This is all from my side. I hope you find this useful.
