My father asked me to remodel the bathroom, and hence, I researched online for ideas on models, tiles, and other essentials. After hiring a remodeling team, the team lead suggested a doorless shower. I asked him how to design a doorless shower, and he explained a doorless shower should have an open, functional layout that allows easy access while minimising water splash.
How to Design a Shower Without a Door?
The renovation lead explained that there are several types of doorless shower designs:
Corner Walk-In Shower: He said it is ideal for small spaces. This design uses a glass panel as a splash guard to separate the shower from the sink. It creates a light, open feel, especially with a neutral color scheme.
Natural Light Design: In narrow bathrooms, a glass panel protects nearby fixtures like the toilet without blocking natural light from a window, making the space feel larger.
Tight Space Fit: he also mentioned that a doorless shower can be placed between a bathtub and a vanity. A half-wall hides the shower when not in use while maximizing space efficiently.
I chose the Natural Light Design because I enjoy being in natural light. I hope you get a rough idea of the design doorless shower.
