I am a self proclaimed DIY queen in my locality. I try to recycle and reuse pretty much everything. Doesn’t matter if it’s a flat tyre or a broom. I try to use everything and anything to turn into pretty things. I did one such project called waste material flower pot. It was a huge hit I would say. I can help you out with your quest but you’ll have to promise that you too will adopt to this lifestyle of reusing and recycling because our Mother Earth is in grave danger and we can save her with these small steps.

I understand that you are looking for pot decoration ideas with waste material, but additionally I would like to tell you how to make a pot with waste material.

I took plastic bottles, cracked ceramic bowls from my cutlery and a few buckets to turn them into pots. All it took was to drill holes and paint them to my choice.

Let us now talk about waste material flower pot decoration ideas:

  • My first preference, as I have already mentioned, is painting the pots. It is the best method to self indulge and personalise the pots. Some of my paintwork is inspired by what I saw in home centre and chumbak stores. I have written quirky notes or phrases just to add a fun element.

  • Secondly, if you are not so keen on painting the pots by yourself, you can take up lace work from your old dresses or curtains and paste lace on your flower pots. It will be there for a short period of time, but it will look good.

  • You can use bottle caps to make eyes on a planter to add a fun element. I have done that for indoor planters which I have kept in my children’s study room. I asked them to paint it themselves. It was a fun day indeed.

Anyway, these three are my top choices when it comes to your question: how to decorate a pot with waste material. If you need more waste material flower pot ideas, drop a comment below. I am in no dearth of ideas.
