Last month, I planned to make a study table for my children because they were getting neck pain while studying. Luckily, I had some extra plywood left from our cabinet work, so I hired a carpenter. He took the plywood to his workshop, and I also went along to help. There, I watched him work and saw how to cross cut plywood using a table saw. It was interesting to see how carefully he measured and cut the pieces to make the study table strong.
How to Cross-Cut Plywood?
First, he measured and marked the size needed, then used a framing square to draw a straight line across the sheet.
When the plywood was wide, more than 2 feet, he marked both ends and placed the track just like a rip cut.
For narrow pieces, he placed waste plywood under the track ends and clamped it to keep it steady.
For very small cuts, he preferred using a mitre saw.
When he needed many same-size pieces, he stacked them, clamped them tightly, and cut them together.
This way, the cuts came out straight and clean without using a table saw. Hope this helps you.
