The bank’s online banking may allow you to download the closure form, but you must submit that completed form in person at a branch.
Visit Standard Chartered’s official site to download the “Account Closure Form”.
Fill the form in black ink, using capital letters, including your account name, account number, and reason for closure.
After printing and filling the form, visit your nearest bank branch with the filled form, along with your original ID proof and needed documents.
Submit these physically to the branch staff.
They will ask you to clear dues and surrender your chequebook and debit card. Do that.
Once accepted, the bank will close your account, typically after a few days.
