To maintain hygiene, I vacuum the sofa twice a week to remove all the dust and soil. If you got any rough stains on the surface, baking soda is a great way to clean suede sofas because it can remove stains on real suede and will also not harm the material. 

You can follow the steps I mentioned below.

1. Mix baking soda with a few drops of water and make a paste.

2. You can add some drops of dish detergent as well. This is optional, so if you have tough stains, you can go ahead with this.

3. Dab on the surface gently and let it soak for sometime. Then, dry with a clean cloth.

• You must begin by gently brushing the suede with a soft-bristled brush to remove loose dirt and restore the nap.

• Then use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to suction away any remaining dirt and debris.

• Start addressing the stains next by blotting them with a clean, dry cloth. 

• For stubborn stains, mix equal parts white vinegar and water, dampen a cloth, and gently blot the stain.

• You can also use a handheld steam cleaner to refresh and sanitise the suede. Make sure you hold the nozzle at a safe distance to prevent damage.

• You can consider applying a suede protector spray to prevent future stains and water damage.

You can use a mild, market-bought sofa cleaning solution as well but make sure you test a small area first as an experiment before spreading it all over the sofa.
