Since summer has already started, I hired an AC technician to clean my Mitsubishi air conditioner so that it can offer excellent service throughout the summer season. During the cleaning, I asked him to explain how to clean Mitsubishi air conditioner. He told me that the process involves turning off the AC, removing the filter, and then following a few more steps, which I’ve outlined below.

How to Clean a Mitsubishi Air Conditioner Filter?

Here is the cleaning process that the technician opted for:

  1. Always make sure the AC is turned off before you start cleaning.

  2. Pull the filter out of the unit so you can clean it or replace it if it’s really dirty.

  3. You can wash the filter with warm soapy water or just vacuum it to remove any dust or dirt.

  4. Use a soft brush or coil cleaner to gently scrub the coils inside the AC. They can collect a lot of dust, which affects how well the AC works.

  5. Check the outdoor unit and clear away any leaves, dirt, or other stuff that’s built up around it.

  6. Make sure the drain line is clear so it can properly drain moisture and prevent clogs.

  7. After cleaning, put the filter and any other parts back into place.

Finally, turn the AC back on and check if it’s running properly, making sure it's cooling as it should. I hope this answers your query: How to clean air conditioner Mitsubishi?

Hi buddy, I too, have a Mitsubishi AC and can help you learn how to clean Mitsubishi air conditioner at home. I’ll show you the process to clean the different parts of the AC on your own. So, let me get started.

What is the Method of Mitsubishi AC Cleaning of the Front Panel?

  1. Start by lifting the AC front panel till you hear a click sound.

  2. Hold the hinges and pull to remove the AC cover. Take a soft dry cloth and wipe the panel. You can alternatively rinse it with water.

  3. Make sure you do not soak the panel in water for more than 2 hours, and neither should the water temperature be above 50 degrees Celsius.

  4. Dry the panel using a soft dry cloth, and after you’re done, re-attach the front panel into its hinges.

  5. You’ll hear a click sound, while pushing the front panel back into its place.

How to Clean a Mitsubishi Air Conditioner Filter?

  1. Open the front panel of your AC and unclick the air filter. Remove the filter.

  2. For light dust, you can use a vacuum cleaner at low power or wash the filter in lukewarm water if the dirt is heavier. Let the filter dry completely and keep it aside.

  3. You’ll see a second filter is there inside the air filter frame. This is the AC air cleaning filter. You can clean it in the exact same manner as the air filter.

You should clean the air filter once every two weeks and the air cleaning filter once every three months.

This is all about cleaning Mitsubishi air conditioner. I hope you find this helpful.
