Recently, I noticed my bedroom walls were looking dusty and wanted to know how to clean matte walls without removing paint. I searched online and found a DIY method using vinegar and dish soap. I gathered the cleaning tools and prepared a solution with vinegar, dish soap, and water. Then, I gently cleaned the walls. The dust came off easily, and the paint remained safe without peeling or fading.
How Do You Clean Matte Painted Walls?
First, take a soft microfibre cloth and gently wipe the wall to remove loose dust and dirt. This will help avoid scratches.
Next, make a cleaning mix by adding a little white vinegar and one or two drops of dish soap to water. Vinegar helps loosen dirt, while dish soap removes grease and marks.
Dip a clean microfibre cloth in this solution, squeeze out extra liquid, and wipe the wall in small sections. Do not press too hard and watch for drips, as they can leave marks.
After that, take another clean cloth, dampen it with cool water, and wipe the wall again to clear off any soap or vinegar.
Finally, dry the wall. This will stop water from soaking in and keep the finish safe.
I hope this will help you.
