Every year, follow a proper method to clean the whole house, organise it and make it ready for Diwali. I will share the exact method I have been following at home below.
How to do Diwali Cleaning?
One of the major aspects of Diwali cleaning is decluttering and organising. Start with one room and take everything out, segregate the items into keep and donate/dump. Items that you no longer use should be donated if possible or dumped.
After this, have all the items kept in one area outside of the room you're cleaning.
For curtains and stuff that have to be cleaned separately, take them out and dump them into the washing machine.
Start by dusting, vacuuming the entire space well. Always start from the top and come to the bottom. Like you begin with the ceiling and end at the flooring.
Then, wet clean with a cleaning solution, using a microfibre cloth. Rinse with clean water and wipe with a dry cloth to finish.
You will have to do this method for every room, one by one. Plan your cleaning by starting from the room on the topmost floor and working your way down to the living room.
Have the bathrooms cleaned separately. Take out all the supplies and items. Again, separate with keep and donate/dump. Perform deep cleaning with cleaning solutions, wiping the tiles, flooring and walls well.
Wipe the mirrors and fittings well, rinse them with water and wipe dry to finish.
