Hey. I know how to clean grease off hardwood floors and can help you. We have hardwood flooring in our house and a few weeks back, I observed a small grease stain. I made a solution by mixing water and vinegar, which worked pretty well. So, I will share the same method with you here.
How to Remove Grease from Hardwood Floors?
Here are the steps to remove grease from your hardwood floors:
Start by wiping the flooring with a broom or a vacuum to remove dust and other debris. This helps work with a debris-free floor and get better results.
If the stain is still wet with grease, grab a clean paper towel and lay it on the grease stain. Press down gently and remove it when it is soaked.
Repeat the process till all the excess grease is gone.
Once the grease is soaked up, clean the spot using a vacuum.
Next, make a solution of water and vinegar, mixed in equal amounts.
Once you have the solution, use a washcloth and soak it in the solution.
Squeeze out the excess solution till the cloth is damp.
Place the damp cloth over the stain. Let it sit for a minute.
Rub the cloth on the stain and don’t go beyond the borders of the stain to avoid spreading. Avoid pressing too hard, as well. For a larger stain, use a mop instead.
Rinse the cloth and wash the spot again. Repeat the process till you don’t get the satisfaction.
Pick up a dry cloth and remove as much of a solution from the floor as possible. Open the windows and let the flooring dry completely.
