Here is the cleaning process that the AC technician told me about.
Always start by turning off the power to your air conditioner.
Now, you must remove the air filter from the unit. This will allow you to clean or replace it as necessary.
Use warm, soapy water or a vacuum cleaner to cleanse the filter, removing dust and debris that may have accumulated.
Gently clean the evaporator and condenser coils using a coil cleaner or a soft brush to remove dirt, dust, and other particles that can obstruct airflow.
Clean the outdoor unit, followed by cleaning the drain line.
Now, you can assemble your air conditioner.
Finally, turn the power back on and test your air conditioner.
