Ideally, the kitchen should be in the south of the southeast corner. However, it can also be in the west corner. You should not buy a flat where the kitchen is in the north corner.
The master bedroom shouldn’t be in the northeast corner and the kid’s bedroom shouldn’t be in the west of the northwest corner. Plus, no bedroom should be in the south or southwest direction.

The bathroom/toilet shouldn’t be in the northeast corner of the home. Ideally, it should be in the west of the northwest, south of the southwest, or east of the southeast of the house.
These are the four major factors that affect the Vastu compliance of a property. However, these factors make the home about 30% to 40% compliant. If you want to make your home 100% Vastu compliant, you’ll have to make some internal alterations like hanging a wind chime at the center of the living room or entrance, etc.
