If you download or print your bank statement or use a physical passbook, the UTR number is shown next to each funds transfer entry.

If you still can’t locate the UTR, you can contact HDFC Bank customer care with details like date, amount, and beneficiary; they can provide the UTR after verification.

Once you have the UTR number, you can use it to track the transaction status with HDFC Bank or provide it to the beneficiary as proof of payment. The UTR is especially useful in resolving payment delays or disputes.

  and went to the ‘Transaction History’ section. By clicking on the specific transaction I was looking for, the UTR number was displayed in the transaction details.

• Mobile Banking App: For convenience, the bank manager said I can also check the HDFC mobile app. After logging in, he asked to visit the ‘View Transactions’ option. Similar to NetBanking, once clicked on the transaction, the UTR number appeared in the detailed view.

• Contact Customer Support: He further added that if you’re unable to find it on your own, HDFC’s customer service can also help. They were able to provide the UTR number after verifying the transaction details.

It was a straightforward process, and now I know exactly how to check UTR number in HDFC Bank whenever I need it.
