How to Register a Housing Society?

In Maharashtra the online process is seamless and you won't find it difficult to get registered in the Housing Society.

• You need to visit the Mahasahakar website for online registration.

• http://mahasahakar.maharashtra.gov.in/

• Tap on Society> e-Governance>Society Validation> Check online validation.

• If you have created the credentials before you can easily log in to the website or you can click on the 'new user' button if you are signing in for the first time.

• For welfare association registration check for your society ID. The system will provide the online registration form. When you are filling the form the account type must be marked as 'Society'.

• After getting your user ID you can try logging in with the auditor's name and password. The default password is DOCMT@2014.

• You will get the status after logging in.

• You can also create your society ID by selecting the unique name and the registered mobile number. Both the information is mandatory.

You can check RWA registration by tracking the status of your application on the website itself.

The Resident Welfare Association is in charge of solving the issues of the occupants, sorting out events, and checking if all the amenities are working properly in an apartment and building. RWA registration process Karnataka (online):

• Go to the official website of Sindhu Sahakara.

• Tap on 'Registration of society'.

• Click on sign up and enter the relevant data. You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.

• You can login with your credentials if you are a new user.

• You will be able to generate the application form consisting of three parts such as:

1. Society Details

2. Authorised Subscriber Details

3. Upload enclosures

• After filling out the form and uploading the documents click on 'Submit'. Your application number will be generated once you submit the form.

• The department will verify the documents properly and if they find any invalid document the status will be  ‘information is incomplete’. In this case, you need to re-upload the documents again.

• You will be called for a physical verification after the documents get approval. You need to pay a minimal amount after the physical verification.

• The application will be forwarded to the caseworker for scrutiny.

•  After internal processing, the proposal will be forwarded to the superintendent.

• The superintendent will verify the and forward the proposal to the District Registrar for verification.

• Once the Deputy Registration of Co-operative societies and District Registrar of societies register the memorandum of association along with the guidelines, the Registration Certificate will be issued. 

It takes around 30 days to register a society in Karnataka.
