My friend has recently generated challan online, so I asked him about the process on how to check challan online. He told me that every state has their own website for this purpose. For Telangana, you will have to go to the Telangana Registration and Stamps department website and search for ‘E-payments’ under the ‘Online Services’ column or just click on this link:

How to Check Online ChallanHere, you will see three options (Franking services e-challan, Non-registration e-challan, and Document registration e-challan).
For property registration, tap on “Document registration e-challan” and register the documents by filling in the details like party details, remitter details, etc. and click on the ‘register’ button.
After that, you’ll receive an SMS that mentions a five-digit passcode and a 12-digit challan number.
After registering, go to the payment form to print the passcode details and challan number.
After the disclaimer page, you’ll be redirected to the SBI ePay, where you can choose to pay the charges either offline or online.
For online payments, choose NEFT, Net banking, or Credit/Debit card.
After that, the challan in duplicate is generated by the system that will have the SBIePay confirmation reference no. You are required to print the challan and submit its SRO copy as well as other documents to the sub-registrar, during the property registration.
