I have always known the importance of PAN Card and thank god my PAN card details are all correct. I understand that most of the people will panic a lot or will ask a lot of people and even will be ready to visit a lot of places to get it corrected but if you update the details online, it is going to be easier. Here are the steps to do it:
Go to the official website of NSDL E-Governance or click on
www.tin-nsdl.com
Select the option PAN under the Services Section
Select Apply under the Change/Correction in Pan Data section
Click on the Changes or Correction in existing PAN data/Reprint of PAN Card option provided under the ‘Application Type section
Click on Category and then select the correct category of the person
Provide the details like Dob, mail id and mobile number
Provide the Captcha and click on Submit
You will be provided with a token number in the mail id and asked to proceed
You will be asked to submit few documents so click on Submit scanned images through e-Sign on NSDL e-gov and proceed
Provide the details requested like parents’ name and Aadhar number or more and click on next.
Update your status if required
Update the relevant documents as mentioned in the site
Pay the fee through netbanking, credit/debit card
An acknowledgement slip will be generated that must be printed and sent to the NSDL e-gov office along with all the documents that you uploaded. Paste two photographs and sign it. It is better to write Application for PAN change on the envelope and also write the acknowledgement number to make the process more easy.
The process might look lengthy or tough but trust me, once you enter the site, you will automatically know what to do exactly. You can also approach a cyber cafe to let the men there do it for you.
How many days does it take to get the latest update?My sister was told that within 15 to 20 days she will get it and on the 17th day she did. So just be sure that it takes less than a month to get the updated PAN card.
