You need to be a registered user on the e-Filing portal
The PAN should be pre-validated
An active bank account that is linked with PAN and registered mobile number
A valid mobile number, that has been registered with the e-Filing portal
How to change bank details in income tax refund?
You will need to visit the e-Filing portal
With your user ID and password, log in to the portal
From the dashboard, click on the ‘My Profile page
You will see an option called ‘bank accounts, click on it.

All the added, failed, and removed bank accounts will be shown there.
Just click on ‘ ‘New Request’.’.
Then, select ‘Change ITR Form Particulars’.
You will need to enter your bank account number, holder type, IFSC code etc.
Click on the ‘validate’.

Once the process has been completed, a message of completion will be displayed on the screen. Your transaction ID will be given as well.
