3. Applicants should provide Aadhaar-based biometric authentication when applying for cancellation.

4. After this, authorities will process the application and a fee of Rs. 50 or as per the Government guidelines a fee needs to be paid.

5. You will get an acknowledgement receipt. Save it for future reference.

6. You will receive an SMS after your ration card is surrendered.

Hi there, just as Suryansh stated in his answer, it is next to impossible to cancel your ration card through online modes. I did find the procedure and forms for a few states. But when I looked up the steps for ration card cancellation online Karnataka, I came back empty-handed.

However, I did find something for its neighbouring state, Telangana. So, if you’re looking for the process in Telangana, here’s how you can do it.

Ration card cancellation online Telangana

2. In the search bar, type “cancel ration card for Telangana”.

3. A link will appear with the title, “Telangana: Surrender of Ration Card Application Form.”

4. Click on the link to download the form

5. You can fill the form but you need to visit an E Seva Kendra to submit it.

6. Carry the documents mentioned in the form.

After successfully submitting the form, the cancellation will be processed.
