How to cancel DD in SBI?
You will need to write a DD cancellation letter to the State Bank of India. You will need to get a cash receipt as well. There is no way to cancel your demand draft online. It is necessary to visit the bank branch where you have applied for the Demand draft to get your DD cancelled.
You need to follow the proper process and format while writing the cancellation application. You will need to carefully share why you wish to cancel the DD. A few possible reasons for DD cancellation are wrong information of payee details, deactivation of bank account, etc.
If you have gotten a DD through cheque then you will need to take the original DD along with the cash receipt. You will get the amount refunded after a small deduction has been made. In SBI, they deducted rupees fifty from me.
Make sure your language in the cancellation application is formal and that it holds the necessary information. If you get to know any new updates on demand draft cancellation, share them below.
