From the table, you can see the quarterly consumption given in Kilowatt hour (KWH). So for 75 units in KWH for a lifeline consumer , the energy charged is Rs. 379 per KWH. Coming to the urban domestic consumer, the charge per KWH is Rs. 102 for the first 102 units and it becomes Rs 120 per KWH for the next 120 units in KWH.
Let me show you the calculation process with the help of an example. Suppose you’ve used 1000 units. You then need to see the slab rate under which your consumption is falling. Once you know this, you can simply multiply your consumed units i.e. 1000 in this example with the per unit rate. For example, the rate is Rs. 7.10. So, your bill would be Rs. 7100.
