To calculate wardrobe cost, you must first determine the area in square feet by multiplying the wardrobe's height and breadth. To get a pricing estimate, you must consider your wardrobe dimensions, type, material, finish, and accessories. As an interior design student, I can tell you how to calculate wardrobe cost accurately. I have shared the detailed steps below.

How to Calculate Cost of Wardrobe?

  1. Find out the wardrobe's height from the floor to the top in feet.

  2. Now, determine the wardrobe's width in feet.

  3. To find the total square footage, multiply the height by the breadth.

  4. Choose the material finish for your wardrobe and check out its square footage cost.

  5. Laminate: Starts around Rs. 1200 per square foot.

  6.  Acrylic Sheet: Rs. 1300 per square foot.

  7. Veneer with Melamine: Rs. 1350 per square foot, on average.

  8. Polyurethane (PU): Around Rs. 1400 per square foot.

  9.  Lacquer Glass or Liquid Acrylic or Polyester: Starts at Rs. 1500 per square foot.

  10. Now, to calculate a base price, multiply the total square footage of the wardrobe by the price per square foot.

  11. Include prices for additional features such as hinges, lofts, other hardware, and internal fittings.

  12. Finally, add the labour charge to it.

You can try these calculation steps, and you will definitely get the wardrobe cost.
