Calculating the registration and stamp duty charges in Pune involves understanding the applicable rates and their components;

  • Male buyers: 7% (5% stamp duty + 1% Metro Cess + 1% Local Body Tax)

  • Female buyers: 6% (4% stamp duty + 1% Metro Cess + 1% Local Body Tax)

  • Joint ownership: 6.5% (combination of male and female ownership)

Registration Charges:

  • For properties valued above Rs. 30 lakh: Rs. 30,000

  • For properties valued below Rs. 30 lakh: 1% of the property value

Example Calculation: For a property valued at Rs. 80 lakh:

  • Stamp Duty (Male): Rs. 5.6 lakh (7% of Rs. 80 lakh)

  • Registration Charges: Rs. 30,000 (capped)

  • Total Charges: Rs. 5.9 lakh

How much stamp duty and registration charges?

Current stamp duty and registration charges in Pune are set at 6%. The bifurcation of this 6% charge is as follows:
