When calculating the provident fund balance, the employer and employee contributions are added together. Employer contributions total 12% of the employee's pay, with employee contributions totaling 3.67%. The employee's basic pay determines whether the 12% employer contribution is to be based on gross salary or basic pay.

EPFO website, click on "Member Passbook" under the section for employees on the EPFO website.
By entering your universal account number, or UAN, and password, you can access the PF passbook.
Along with the opening and closing balances, the breakdown of contributions made by the employee and employer are both displayed. Additionally, the amount of any PF transfers as well as any PF interest collected will also be stated.
If your UAN has more than one provident fund number associated with it, all of them will be displayed. To view the balance of a particular PF account, you must click on the relevant member ID.
