Determine Floor Area

Here's an illustration:
12 feet is the length of the kitchen.
10 feet is the breadth of the kitchen.
12 x 10 = 120 square feet is the floor area.
Wall Space Measurement
For modular kitchens, wall measurements are essential for figuring out where to put cabinets and appliances. Before determining the length of each wall, measure the height of your walls from floor to ceiling. Don't forget to include the size and location of windows and doors.
It's crucial to measure the area above and below windows because cabinets might be placed there.
Finding the Total Square Footage
To determine the overall square footage of your modular kitchen, add the measurements of your walls and floors.
Apply this formula: Floor Area + (Wall Height x Total Wall Length) = Total Square Feet
For instance:
120 square feet is the floor area.
8 feet is the wall height.
The sum of all the wall lengths is 44 feet.
120 + (8 x 44) = 472 square feet is the total square feet.
