Hey there,

The EB bill is relatively easily calculated. The amount of time we use the electric appliance in a day and the appliance's wattage have a role in this. Divide it by the corresponding KWh rate.

How is EB bill calculated in Tamilnadu

  • Based on unit consumption and the bracket it falls under, TNEB bills are calculated. The slab described below also determines the price of 1 unit of electricity:

  • 0 to 100 units are free of charge; 100 to 200 units are free of charge; the remaining units are Rs. 1.5 each.

  • First 100 units are free for orders of 0 to 500 units; the remaining units cost Rs. 2 per unit after that.

  • First 100 units are free; the following 101 to 200 units cost Rs.3.5 per unit; next 201-500 units cost Rs.4.6 per unit; and units over 500 costs Rs.6.6 per unit.

I hope you found what you were looking for.
