The EB bill is relatively easily calculated. The amount of time we use the electric appliance in a day and the appliance's wattage have a role in this. Divide it by the corresponding KWh rate.
How is EB bill calculated in Tamilnadu
Based on unit consumption and the bracket it falls under, TNEB bills are calculated. The slab described below also determines the price of 1 unit of electricity:
0 to 100 units are free of charge; 100 to 200 units are free of charge; the remaining units are Rs. 1.5 each.
First 100 units are free for orders of 0 to 500 units; the remaining units cost Rs. 2 per unit after that.
First 100 units are free; the following 101 to 200 units cost Rs.3.5 per unit; next 201-500 units cost Rs.4.6 per unit; and units over 500 costs Rs.6.6 per unit.
