How to Buy a House Under Tamil Nadu Housing Board Scheme?
You must fill an online application form and submit some necessary documents like your photo, PAN card, address proof, pay slip, etc. You also need to pay an application fee of Rs. 525, which is inclusive of GST.
Let me share the complete process below.
First, visit the
online portal of TNHB.
You will find a section called ‘flats available for sale’. Click on that.
A PDF will open where you can see the available flat lists. You will also find a ‘scan for details’ below each section. If you find the location and pricing fair, just scan the QR for more details.
In this, you can see the eligibility criteria for application and other details. Read everything carefully, and once finalised on one, you can apply directly from the official website under ‘Own your Housing Login’
Login using your mobile number and OTP.
Then, fill out the application form and attach with all the requested documents.
You can pay the application fee through online or Demand Draft. If you pay via DD, you will receive the receipt only after the draft is realised at TNHB.
Once you submit the form, you will receive an application number via email and SMS.
This is the process I followed.
Keep in mind that just applying for the scheme may not guarantee the allotment, because it happens on a first come, first serve basis.
