How to Close PNB Fixed Deposit Online?
Log in to your
PNB Internet Bankingaccount.
Navigate to the “Deposits” or “e‑FD” section where you see your active term deposits.
Choose the FD you wish to close.
Select the “Premature Withdrawal” or “Premature Cancellation” option.
Follow the on-screen prompts, confirm the details, and submit your request.
The system automatically applies the penal interest clause as per PNB’s rules. A 1% penal interest is charged, meaning the interest payable will be either the contracted rate minus 1% or the applicable scheme rate for the actual tenor minus 1%, whichever is lower.
