How to arrange an octagonal room?
My living room is octagonal in shape so let me share what I did to give my space the best look-
Focus on the most important thing and place it first-Since it was my living room, I placed my tv first (just near the switchboard) and then placed the other things accordingly. If it is your bedroom, you should place your bed first and then the rest of the things. Once you do it, you will get an idea automatically about where to place what. For example, If you place the tv, you will know the sofa needs to be placed just in front of it, the shelf can be placed just beside the tv and more.
Place furniture away from walls-Most people tend to place furniture against the walls but it is not a good idea. Place furniture or other goods away from the walls to make the area look spacious and also to let people walk anywhere freely.
Place furniture or other goods in symmetry-To make things organised, placing them in symmetrical order can help you out but not always. If the windows are symmetrical, you can place tables with plant pots on top of them so that your plants get light and also focus. But this idea will not always work. You have to chalk out plans and place things as per the need.
Use rugsRugs can help you give the room a cool look and also divide the space. You can have a big rug/carpet under the sofa and another coloured one under the dining table. Rugs can help you divide the space into zones easily.
