For surface preparation, they preferred using cement-based powder putty rather than acrylic putty, as it helps achieve a flawless, undulation-free finish.
They mixed the powdered putty with clean water until it reached a peanut butter-like consistency, smooth and thick enough to stay in place without dripping.
I noticed they applied extra putty near the cross joints to even out the surface.
After spreading the putty evenly over the entire ceiling, they let it dry, then lightly sanded it again to achieve a clean, smooth finish.
After completing all this, they continued with the remaining ceiling work to finish the process. Hope this helps you.
